Use CliRelay as a self-hosted AI gateway for coding agents
Route Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and OpenAI-compatible coding tools through a self-hosted gateway with tenant controls, request logs, quotas, and provider failover.

Use CliRelay when an operator needs coding agents and CLI assistants to share one controlled AI gateway instead of wiring each tool directly to separate provider accounts. The workflow is to deploy CliRelay with PostgreSQL, add upstream provider credentials or subscription-backed accounts, issue scoped endpoint keys for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and OpenAI-compatible clients, then monitor request logs, usage rollups, quotas, and failover from the web console. Invoke this instead of using each product normally when a team needs centralized spend limits, audit trails, tenant separation, and a single endpoint for multiple coding-agent runtimes. The scope boundary is gateway operation for authorized internal agent traffic; it is not a generic LLM proxy listing, provider marketplace, or coding-agent framework.
What this skill actually does
Inputs and prerequisites: Go 1.26+, PostgreSQL 15+, CliRelay service, coding CLI clients such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, or OpenAI-compatible clients.
Setup notes: Follow the CliRelay repository and documentation to deploy the Go service with PostgreSQL, configure upstream provider credentials or account imports, create tenant or endpoint keys, and point supported coding CLIs at the generated OpenAI-compatible gateway endpoint.
Source and verification boundary: use https://help.router-for.me/ as the canonical reference before running the workflow; keep commands, API calls, CLI usage, and generated outputs reviewable against that upstream source.
Framework fit: publish this as a Multi-Framework workflow only when the operator can invoke the documented toolchain directly, rather than treating the upstream project as a generic product listing.
