What this skill actually does
The prompt is designed around the principle of showing relevant context without slowing down the terminal. Each module activates only when relevant files are detected in the current directory, so the prompt stays clean and fast when context is not needed.
Configuration is done through a single TOML file at ~/.config/starship.toml. Every module can be enabled, disabled, reordered, or reformatted. Custom modules can be added with arbitrary commands, and the prompt format uses a simple template string syntax. Starship ships with preset themes (Nerd Font Symbols, Plain Text, No Nerd Fonts, Bracketed Segments, and others) that can be applied with a single command.
