Mod PC games with agent skills and Universal Modder
Use Universal Modder to let coding agents inspect a PC game, plan the mod route, generate assets, test in-game, and capture reusable field notes.

Universal Modder packages agent skills, a shared knowledge base, the um CLI, and fal MCP configuration so coding agents can work through PC game modding tasks. The workflow has a clear operator loop: point the agent at a game, identify the engine and modding route, inspect real files, build or patch the mod, generate art, 3D, or audio assets when needed, test in the running game, produce a showcase, and write down what was learned for future sessions.
What this skill actually does
Use this instead of hand-driving a game modding toolchain when the agent should do the reconnaissance, implementation, asset-generation, and verification steps across a local game installation. The scope boundary is agent-operated game modding. It is not a generic game engine, asset marketplace, or MCP server listing; the skill is invoked for a concrete modding run with install paths, runtime constraints, and test evidence.
Inputs and prerequisites: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, or another AGENTS.md-aware coding agent; local PC game files; optional fal access for generated art, 3D, and audio assets..
Setup notes: Install through the upstream path for your agent: Claude Code plugin marketplace, Codex plugin marketplace, Gemini extension install, VS Code plugin-from-source, Cursor marketplace or clone, npx skills add for skills-only use, or a direct git clone. Follow the repository README to expose the skills, MCP config, and um CLI to the chosen agent.
Source and verification boundary: use https://github.com/rehan-remade/universal-modder as the canonical reference before running the workflow; keep commands, API calls, CLI usage, and generated outputs reviewable against that upstream source.
Framework fit: publish this as a Multi-Framework workflow only when the operator can invoke the documented toolchain directly, rather than treating the upstream project as a generic product listing.
