Expose internal systems to agents through AnythingMCP
Use AnythingMCP when an operator needs to turn REST, SOAP, GraphQL, SQL, existing MCP servers, or prebuilt adapters into governed MCP tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Cursor, and other clients.

AnythingMCP is a self-hosted connector-to-MCP workflow for giving AI clients controlled access to business systems without writing a custom MCP server for each integration. Use it when an operator needs to import an OpenAPI spec, WSDL, GraphQL endpoint, database, existing MCP server, or prebuilt adapter, shape which response fields can reach the model, assign tools to an MCP server, and audit calls. Invoke it instead of connecting products directly when the important workflow is governed system access for agents: configure connectors, publish a constrained MCP endpoint, and let supported clients call only the approved tools. The scope boundary is governed connector-to-MCP exposure, not a generic integration platform, no-code product, or enterprise gateway listing.
What this skill actually does
Inputs and prerequisites: Docker 24+, openssl, AnythingMCP, target REST/SOAP/GraphQL/SQL systems or adapters, MCP-capable AI client.
Setup notes: Create a working directory, download https://raw.githubusercontent.com/HelpCode-ai/anythingmcp/main/docker-compose.quickstart.yml as docker-compose.yml, generate JWT_SECRET and ENCRYPTION_KEY in .env with openssl, then run docker compose up -d and open http://localhost:3000.
Source and verification boundary: use https://anythingmcp.com as the canonical reference before running the workflow; keep commands, API calls, CLI usage, and generated outputs reviewable against that upstream source.
Framework fit: publish this as a MCP workflow only when the operator can invoke the documented toolchain directly, rather than treating the upstream project as a generic product listing.
