PydanticAI is an open-source Python framework for building AI agents, created by the team behind Pydantic — the validation library used by OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, LangChain, and most major AI tooling. How It Works
Agents are defined using the Agent class with a system prompt, model, and optional result type (any Pydantic model for structured outputs). Tools are registered via the @agent.tool decorator with full type inference.
