GitUI supports the core Git workflow that developers need most: inspecting, staging, unstaging, and reverting changes at the file, hunk, and line level. It handles commits with support for pre-commit, commit-msg, post-commit, and prepare-commit-msg hooks. Stashing operations cover save, pop, apply, drop, and inspect. Branch management includes creating, renaming, deleting, and checking out branches with full remote tracking. The commit log is browsable and searchable with diff viewing for committed changes.
